Hiking through the North Carolina mountains, it is always fun to come across a wandering stream or creek. It is especially breathtaking when in bloom like this past spring.

Follow the stream with your eyes and see where it goes – my grandfather used to say “If you follow a stream, you will never be lost. Water always leads somewhere. People follow water.”

Every time I’m out hiking in the woods and find a stream, I want to follow it. How about you?
